Growth is the positive development that occurs when values, respect, safety and creativity align to create a benign state of forward motion. In Education this is when individuals can take charge of their lives and acquire the knowledge they need to live their best lives. This is as true for staff as learners
Note this is NOT about creating hierarchy through examination boxes and an assumed notion of what ‘proficiency’ in learning might be. True inclusivity is when gender, ability, race, culture, religion, age and sexual identity all have equal access to the opportunities within the learning environment. Again this would be as true for the local community as well as staff and learners.
